Privacy policy

Patrimo is a tool for managing residential property. This page says what it stores, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read in full.

Who is the data controller

Patrimo is published and operated by its publisher, who acts as the data controller. The instance is self-hosted: your data lives on a server located in the European Union, and is handed to no third-party platform — the single exception being the backup to your own storage space described below, which you switch on yourself. For any question about your data, see the “Get in touch” section at the foot of this page.

What Patrimo stores

Your account: email address, display name, language, time zone, and a hash of your password — never the password itself. Your portfolio data, exactly as you enter it: properties, units, renters, leases, rent payments, expenses, loans, documents and photos. The files you upload, kept on the server. And a history log, which records the actions taken in the portfolio so you can see who wrote what, and when.

Cookies

Three strictly necessary cookies: your session, the active portfolio, and the light or dark theme. No advertising tracker, no third-party analytics, no social network buttons. Nothing here follows you from one site to the next, so there is no banner to accept.

Backup to your Google Drive

This feature is optional and never on by default: it starts from your explicit consent, given on the “Backup to your storage space” screen in your settings (/parametres/cloud).

The permission requested from Google is drive.file, and nothing else. Patrimo only sees the files it created itself in your Drive: it can neither read nor write anything else — not your other documents, not your photos, not even the list of your files.

What is copied: the files you uploaded to Patrimo — vault documents, expense receipts, lease attachments and photos — filed in a “Patrimo” folder in your Drive, then in a subfolder named after your portfolio.

The copy is one-way: Patrimo writes to your Drive, and never reads your Drive back to change anything inside Patrimo. It never deletes permanently: deleting in Patrimo moves the copy to your Drive’s trash, where it stays at your disposal. And if you move, rename or delete a copied file, Patrimo leaves it as it is — your storage space stays yours to arrange.

What Patrimo does not do: no data is sold, none is passed to a third party, none feeds the training of a machine-learning model, and no advertising is served.

How to withdraw access: the “Disconnect” button on the backup screen, or the permissions page of your Google account — https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. Either one is enough. In both cases the files already copied stay in your Drive: they are yours, and yours to keep or remove.

Possible transfer outside the European Union: files copied into your Drive are subject to Google’s terms and may, depending on your account, be stored outside the European Union. That is why this backup asks for separate consent, and why it stays optional.

How long data is kept

Your data lives as long as your account does. Deleting a portfolio erases its rows and its files from the server, and revokes on a best-effort basis the cloud permissions attached to it — an unreachable provider never blocks the deletion. The copies already placed in your Drive belong to you: they stay, and what becomes of them is your call alone.
